Job Title: Part-time Accounts Assistant
Location of work: At our satellite Accounts Office in Kerrykeel, Co Donegal
Reports To: Accounts/Finance Administrator
Job Type: Part-time (1 year initial contract)
Hours: 3 days per week [typically Mon-Wed, with possibility of additional days in due course]
Salary: Competitive salary offered, in line with experience
About the Role
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Accounts Assistant/ Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is suited to someone with a solid bookkeeping background and at least one year’s experience, ideally within the Construction sector.
Key Duties
•Processing purchase and sales invoices
•Maintaining accurate financial records
•Bank reconciliations
•Supporting compliance with Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) where applicable
•Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with Revenue requirements
•Supporting payroll preparation (PAYE/PRSI/USC)
•Monitoring accounts payable and receivable
•Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams on accounts queries
•Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting
•General administrative support within the finance function
Requirements
•A recognised bookkeeping qualification (essential)
•Minimum of 1 year’s experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
•Construction sector experience preferred
•Good working knowledge of Irish VAT and Revenue compliance
•Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage/ Big Red Cloud/ QuickBooks)
